A fun dinner full of finger foods that could fit in your pocket – but maybe don’t do that!
Our Family Dinner Book Club theme for the year is Social-Emotional Learning! This month we’re learning about taking time to wonder and notice with What’s in Your Pocket? Collecting Nature’s Treasures by Heather L. Montgomery. To accompany this themed dinner menu, Growing Book by Book has a reading list of additional books as well as conversation starters, and Sunny Day Family shares a selection of crafts.
This book takes us into the childhood worlds of some of history’s greatest scientists and discoverers. Children can do great things if we let them explore, get messy, and wonder in the world around them. Take some time this month to explore nature with your kiddos, and then get messy in the kitchen together creating a feast of bite-sized and dippable foods!
