It’s a Sarah’s Day TJ Party! What What! Okay, maybe I’m the only one who knows what that means. Today is all about the food bloggers and the love! #FoodBloggerLove is an annual event where we switch names Secret Santa style and show some virtual love to our fellow food bloggers. I got Sarah Cooks the Books and I am throwing her a TJ Party – everything you see came from Trader Joe’s!
Here are some things I have learned about Sarah: She shares a name with the fabulous chef who runs this site you’re currently reading. She hails from North Carolina (my family is also from North Carolina, with Dad and Grandparents currently residing in South Carolina). She transported to Southern California – I am Southern California born and raised. She loves Trader Joe’s. She is basically the LA version of me! What a perfect match I received! Oh also, she loves anything pink, so perfect for Valentine’s Day and a loving event, right?!
More details! Sarah Cooks the Books is so named because she is on a mission to actually cook from all the cookbooks she has lying around her house. What a novel idea – to actually use the things we spent money on! I definitely do not consult my cookbooks very often, but I probably should. I bought them for a reason, right? One of the recipes on Sarah’s site is Gnocchi in Tomato Broth from the Smitten Kitchen cookbook. Perfect. Smitten Kitchen was the first food blog I regularly followed, and the first food blogger’s cookbook I got. I actually bought it for my friend Elyse for the same Christmas that she bought it for me!
So what do we have here? Literally everything pictured came from Trader Joe’s. Even the flowers!
