I have this little treat that I give myself occasionally. By occasionally I mean a few times a month, maybe a few times a week. It’s simple, but so amazing and comforting. Take a small bowl, add a spoonful of peanut butter, a sprinkle of chocolate morsels, sit back, relax, and enjoy your decadent treat. The pairing of chocolate and peanut butter is not a new concept. You’ve had peanut butter cups, right? Wouldn’t you love to drink a hot mug of peanut butter cups? I would, and I do. Try it, you’ll like it, I promise.
This is the drink for you when you need a little pick me up, when you’re down in the dumps, when you need a decadent treat, when you have something to celebrate, when you would rather sit in your favorite chair and read than do anything else in the world, when you just need a little chocolate (which is quite often, if you’re like me). Basically, this peanut butter hot cocoa pairs well with any occasion, feeling, or event. I suggest using the dark chocolate ganache for this recipe, but milk chocolate is also superb.
So if I’m 200 lbs heavier by the next time I see you… it’s all your fault. You and this peanut butter hot chocolate. Can… not… resist… 😉
I will gladly take that blame. 😉 I have been working out extra hard these last few weeks.
Yes, I have eaten peanut and chocolate together before. But you have opened my eyes to a new world with this idea! Wow, I can’t wait til I can try it out. Is it time for an evening snack yet?
It’s always time for cocoa!
That mug is super cute. Uhm I do have a formal complaint to lodge. You’re posting these delicious recipes for hot cocoa and I haven’t gotten to try a single one. What, no leftovers?! No recipe testing needed? Gosh.
Ha! So sorry, neighbor. I’ll bring you some samples tonight. You’ll be pleased with tomorrow’s post.
Been waiting to try this one out until tonight. Delicious!
Yay! I’m so glad you tried it and liked it.
This sounds soooo scrumptious!!
