Mulled Wine

Cinnamon, Cloves and Vanilla. These are what we call the “scents of the season” and there are many ways to get your kitchen and home smelling like Christmas. Craft stores sell cinnamon-scented pine cones and bags of inedible cinnamon sticks. Cakes and cookies are baked throughout the holiday season. There are scented candles and sprays everywhere you look. We certainly are not lacking ways to get our homes smelling wonderfully.

One of my favorite ways of filling my home with these wonderful aromas is by making mulled wine. I know, Christmas is over and once we ring in the New Year, people tend to get over the festiveness of the season. Well, I think that is just sad!

Winter officially started on December 22nd, and in most parts of the country, it only gets colder from now through February before Spring is upon us. So I say we embrace the scents and flavors of the Winter Season, not just the holiday season. Mulled wine is a tasty way to do just that. So keep your home feeling festive and warm and smelling amazing past the New Year and through the rest of winter.
