Chewy Granola Bars

Chewy Granola Bars recipe from ChefSarahElizabeth.com

School is back in session which means no more leisurely breakfasts and packing lunches every night after bedtime. We try to keep a fully stocked fridge and pantry to make meals easier, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen. I’m trying to start making things that can be frozen for easy breakfasts, snacks and school lunches. Enter chewy granola bars. David and the girls love those crunchy Nature Valley granola bars, but I am partial to the chewy Quaker type. I have tried granola bar recipes in the past and they all contain granulated sugar or brown sugar. I know that by using honey and maple syrup, the chewy granola bars still have a good amount of sugar, but I’m happier knowing they are made without processed or refined sugars. You can add in anything that you love about granola. Add any type of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, or chocolate to make these the flavor you crave.
