Introducing: Family Dinner Book Club!

If you’ve been following along for any length of time then you probably know that I like a good theme. And a party. I’ve gotten several children’s birthday parties under my belt now and I have loads more parties in the queue to share with you here (and elsewhere, but that’s an announcement for another post). My kitchen and my bookshelf have merged to bring you Family Dinner Book Club along with two other bloggers. I am so excited about this project, it begins today, and you should absolutely get into it!

Jodie from Growing Book By Book has a popular series called Table Topics that has helped families to engage in conversation at the dinner table. She came up with a wonderful idea to expand on that series. Spoilers! It involves children’s books, crafts, and my favorite: food!

Family Dinner Book Club brings together a great story, fun arts and crafts, engaging conversation, and delicious food. You’re invited to join us in reading quality books with your family this year! Here’s how it works:

-On the first day of each month we will introduce our Family Dinner Book Club title of the month.

-On the fifteenth of the month we will share with you talking points to discuss the book from Growing Book By Book, crafts to decorate your dinner table from Enchanted Homeschooling Mom, and a dinner menu from Daisy At Home.

-We will be sharing a variety of picture and chapter books perfect for ages 4-8, and easily adaptable for younger and older crowds.

We would love to see pictures each month of your Family Dinner Book Club. In fact, we’ve set up a Facebook page just for that! Head over now, and like the Family Dinner Book Club Facebook page so that you don’t miss any of the fun!

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Our first Family Dinner Book Club title of the year is Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne!

Do you have any book favorites that you’d like to see featured in our book club? Let me know below, or tell us on our Facebook page. Thank you so much for visiting and we can’t wait to see your book club photos!
